Transformation

Transformation

E.M.&B.T.

Ice to water, the basically natural process of transformation,it could impact on landscape architecture design thoroughly.

Transformation can be thought as a process of reforming the medium while a sort of information passing over. It’s like people go to gym to strongthen muscle, because they give muscle information by keep training it everyday. The muscle as a medium start to learn this sort of information and finally transform itself to be bigger by passing over the pressure and stretch on it.

E.M.&B.T. as a Spanish practicer developed lots of project by involving different forms of transformation. In”YoouidoSouthKarea” they maintained artificial space in a natural way.As well as “ExhibitionXiAn” E.M.&B.T. stressed lighting could be seeked in a natural way.

To compare these two,”CesenaPark”and”ParliamentofAlbania”could be a different transformation.”CesenaPark”using transformation between modern park and historical city as while as “Parliament”using modern significant interior design but bring with traditional pattern.

Another different practicer west8 was interested on different transformation which is between peoples’ experience and natural environment. In”Wavedeck”,they transformed peoples’ public space into water by using timber wave deck connect to it.In”PlayadePalma”,they start with both sides:tourists(people)and beach(nature)finally transformed both to meet an agreement.

Transforming understood as a various way, even revolution involves with serious transformation. Our first ancestor who were trying to free their hands from walking only use their feet supporting entire body weight.Feet as a medium by passing over the information of the way we use for a long time then start learning it to transform. Finally revolution engaged, palm gets longer and structure of palm gets more solid and tighter comparing with hands.

Back to sustainable landscape,it’s to slow down passing over the impact of unnatural(urban)in order to slow down transformation of landscape as a medium between urban and nature.
